Soul of our Club

The bell rings, school is out and Alana boards the bus that takes her to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara.  Alana knows that at the Club she will have a safe space to have a snack, get help with her homework,  and have a chance to do art or play music.  Basketball starts soon and she can't wait to play.  Alana stays until the Club closes at 7pm, capturing every minute she can be there instead of at home.  What you don't know about Alana, is that her dad has never been present in her life and her mom is in jail.  Alana lives with her grandma in a one bedroom apartment with two of her other siblings and sleeps on the couch.  For Alana, her second home is really the Club and she relies on that support system daily.

Club Membership is only $30 a year and for most of our families the Club is their only alternative for affordable after-school care.  To run our programs costs more, but it is our mission to provide effective educational programs that Club kids would not have access to otherwise.  Together we can bridge the divide and offer kids like Alana the same after-school programs as any other kid in this community.

Purchase a 5’ x 3’ banner to be displayed throughout the year in the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara (BGCSB) Gym and reach thousands of people in Santa Barbara!

The BGCSB hosts year-round sports and community events. Notable past headliners have included Grammy award winner Ziggy Marley, Robin Thicke, Jack Johnson, Steve Miller, and basketball great Kobe Bryant. Local media, such as KEYT NewsChannel 3, the Santa Barbara Independent, Santa Barbara News-Press, Noozhawk, and others, cover these special events, which results in additional exposure for your banner and ultimately your business.

With your banner purchase - $400 for the first year and $300 per year thereafter for the renewal - you are supporting 2,200 local young people with educational and constructive activities every day after school, holidays, and during the summer. It’s a win-win!
